Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese have gone on record saying that there's no ill will between the both of them. Despite these official statements from both WNBA stars, members of their respective fanbases continue to take aim at the favorite player of the opposing camp.
Case in point: When Clark celebrated her 23rd birthday on Wednesday, the Indiana Fever posted a video of her knocking down 50 out of 54 outside shot attempts in their practice facility. While this clip had nothing to do with Reese whatsoever, some CC fans couldn't help themselves:
"Yeah but angel reece rebounded 48 out of her 50 missed layups on Sunday. So I mean. Room to grow still," commented one netizen with strong tones of sarcasm.
"I'll take, "Things That Angel Reese Couldn't Do In A Million Years for $2000 Alex," another said.
Other fans chose to keep their focus on the elite shooting form displayed by Clark, who set the record for most threes converted by a WNBA rookie:
"I could watch that perfect form all day!" one online user declared.
"Girl can shoot it. Future Champion and future hall of famer. She got game," another commented.
Other netizens brought up the fact that a certain contest during the 2025 NBA All-Star Weekend would be a great fit for Clark:
"Is she getting ready for all-star 3 pt contest?" one netizen asked.
"WE NEED CURRY VS CAITLIN 3 PONIT CONTEST IN THE ALL STAR GAME," another said.
Interestingly, some vigilant NBA viewers appeared to have caught TNT analyst Reggie Miller confirming rumors that Clark will be participating in the NBA's three-point shootout this year.
Whether Clark was preparing for a contest right around the corner or simply having a birthday workout to stay sharp, the high accuracy of her outside shots in that clip can't be denied.
Caitlin Clark's foundation donates 22,000 books to Iowa and Indiana schools
Apparently, Caitlin Clark wasn't just prolific in the practice facility on her birthday. Upon turning 23, Clark — through her Caitlin Clark Foundation — made a generous donation to schools across two states:
"On Caitlin Clark's birthday, 1-22, the Caitlin Clark Foundation announces a partnership with Scholastic's national literacy program to donate 22,000 books to under-resourced schools, focusing on Iowa and Indiana," Keith Murphy, a sports writer based in Iowa, posted on X.
These two states bear utmost significance to Clark's basketball career. Clark, who was born and raised in West Des Moines, led the University of Iowa to two national championship games. She went on to have one of the most impressive rookie seasons playing for the Indiana Fever.
