Angel Reese shared on social media that she hasn't had the best start to her Olympic break. The WNBA rookie sensation traveled to Paris to spend her free time in Europe, but her stint didn't have the best beginning.
Reese took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to explain that her luggage never made it to Paris. She was offered only '$100 in Euros' to buy stuff while the baggage gets recovered.
"they lost our bags & said we only get '$100 in Euros' to shop until they find them but we made it to Paris😭🥲," the Chicago Sky forward wrote.
This must be an uncomfortable experience and, as many fans noted, the 'compensation' she received isn't enough. Reese comes with a solid performance in the 2024 WNBA All-Star Game, recording another double-double this season, scoring 11 points and grabbing 11 rebounds.
It's unclear if she made it to Paris to be close to both men's and women's Teams USA or if this will be the start of a European tour for the Chicago Sky rookie. That said, without her luggage, it's hard to keep traveling.
Angel Reese shares desire to play with Caitlin Clark in the 2028 Olympic Games
After sharing touches for the first time in their young WNBA career, Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese made a good impression. They've clashed multiple times this season with the Fever and Sky, but Reese already teased a partnership with Clark for the next Olympic games.
"It's all cool. When she gets the ball, I'm running to look for the ball because she's gonna throw it. She's been great to play with. I mean, the future, we're gonna be playing together a lot. Hopefully, in four years, we can be in the Olympics together. I'm excited," Reese said.
While Reese posted a double-double for Team WNBA, Clark focused on setting her teammates to score. Clark only scored four points, grabbed two rebounds and dished 10 assists in 26 minutes of game on Saturday night.
These two are expected to mark an era in the WNBA and women's basketball in general. It's good to see that they have chemistry on the court and can become a dangerous duo if they have more chances to play together.
After Angel Reese had a witty response about playing with Clark, they seemed to be cool with each other. It's time to recharge now and get ready for the second half of the 2024 WNBA season.
