Angel Reese's 3-word message to Hailey Van Lith speaks volumes about duo's relationship

Reacting to TSU star Hailey Van Lith's latest Instagram post on Wednesday, Chicago Sky star Angel Reese dropped a three-word message to her former LSU teammate. The post featured Van Lith rocking TCU gear and embracing her journey, while Reese's comment highlighted the duo's relationship.

Angel Reese spent her final year at the LSU Tigers alongside Hailey Van Lith as the Sky star fell short of a second consecutive national championship after being eliminated in the Elite Eight. Following their run together, Van Lith transferred to TCU and is having one of the best seasons of her collegiate career.

After going their separate ways following their shared season, Reese and Van Lith seem to have their connection going strong off the court. Speaking on her podcast Unapologetically Angel previously, Reese reminisced meeting Van Lith, who had just transferred from Louisville.

"I think she was really distant from everybody else. So I kind of felt bad," Reese recalled. "Was probably one of the closer people with her on the team, so was like let me get close to her and like see who she is, because she was the only white girl."

Currently playing in the fifth season of her college career, Hailey Van Lith is averaging 17.9 points, 4.5 rebounds, 6.1 assists and 1.4 steals while shooting 46.4%, including 30.3% from deep.

Angel Reese announces she'll leave social media again after appearance on VOGUE cover

After her New Year's Eve outfit drew a lot of attention and comments from fans for "showing too much skin", Angel Reese decided to take some time off social media and temporarily deactivated her accounts. However, the Chicago Sky star returned just over a week later to announce her appearance on VOGUE magazine's latest cover.

"I “covered up” and gave y’all COVERGIRL. 💋," Reese tweeted.

"COVERGIRL. IT’S ALWAYS BEEN BOTH: BASKETBALL AND FASHION," Reese captioned her IG post.

Not long after sharing the news of her achievement, the WNBA All-Star announced that she will continue to take time off from social media.

"Ok i'm done popping my [s**t] i'm back off here tomorrow lmaoooo," Reese wrote on her IG story.

Angel Reese is currently preparing to participate in the inaugral season of Unrivaled which is set to tip off on Jan. 17 in Miami, Florida.
