Angel Reese and Aneesah Morrow played one year together with the LSU Tigers during the 2023-24 season. With Morrow, Reese and Hailey Van Lith on the same team, the Tigers were ranked No. 1 entering last season by the Associated Press.

Although Reese and Morrow couldn't win the NCAA title, Morrow is showing why LSU was ranked so high with her arrival after transferring from DePaul.

In an 83-77 win over Vanderbilt on Monday, Morrow had 23 points and 15 rebounds. During the game, she became the eighth player in Division I history to have 2,500 points and 1,500 rebounds, joining 2018 WNBA champion and Chicago Sky assistant coach Courtney Paris.

Angel Reese was elated with her former teammate's achievement. In an IG post by LSU on Tuesday, the former LSU star dropped high praise for Morrow in the comments section.

"proud of you bby," Reese wrote.

Morrow replied to Reese's comment.

"@angelreese5 thank you barb🫶🏾," she wrote.

Behind Flau’Jae Johnson and Aneesah Morrow, LSU (19-0) remains undefeated this season.

Angel Reese drops high praise for her Unrivaled teammates

Angel Reese will represent Rose BC in the Unrivaled league, which is set to start in the next few days. While having Reese on a roster is certainly a big win for any team, the opportunity also provides the Chicago Sky star with the opportunity to learn from some of the best in the league.

The Rose team will feature three WNBA champions with loads of experience. While Reese and the Rose team will have a legitimate shot at the Unrivaled title with veteran experience, she is exploring the opportunity to learn as much as she can.

Reese will join three-time WNBA champion Chelsea Gray and 2021 champions Kahleah Copper and Azurá Stevens. She will also have two defensive stars, Brittney Sykes and Lexie Hull, on her team.

In a conversation with NBC Sports' Natalie Esquire, Reese dropped heavy praise for her teammates and said that she was expecting to learn from the veterans while she was in Miami.

"I was so excited to join this crew,” Reese said. “I feel like I can pull from everyone on this team. If it’s coming from leadership, veteran leadership. Lexie brings a lot of defense. I’ve been playing against Lexie for a while.
"Kah, obviously, she’s won a championship, she’s done a lot. I’ve been watching these players since I was in college, and obviously, I have one year under my belt, but being able to get as much information as I can while I’m here. They’ve been a sponge to me.
"I told them to coach me hard and get on me when they need to get on me. So, I really enjoy this. When I leave, I know I am gonna take a lot from them."

Cooper also had high praise for Angel Reese. The Mercury star said that Reese has shown a great desire to learn and has shown growth since she arrived.
