Angel Reese's sportswear sponsor, Reebok, has struck a new deal with the WNBA. The sports brand signed a multi-year contract with the league.
Since NBA Hall of Famers Shaquille O'Neal and Allen Iverson took the top position with the sports brand, this is the most significant step that Reebok has taken. In 2021, Reebok took its aggressive first step towards reclaiming its position in the sports industry.
WNBA Chief Growth Officer Colie Edison released a statement in light of the new deal.
"The WNBA continues to grow with iconic brands, and we look forward to Reebok joining us in driving women’s basketball to new heights and inspiring the next generation," Edison said, adding, "As we continue to capitalize on increased brand awareness, our work with Reebok is another step in bringing more fans to the game."
Reebok being the authorized footwear supplier is big for the company and could herald the return of the sneaker brand in basketball. It will also boost Reese's popularity.
Reese first signed with Reebok in 2023 before she entered the last season of her college career with LSU. A year later, in October, Reese signed a multi-year deal with the brand. Reese is not the only WNBA player who has a sneaker deal with Reebok. Another is Lexie Brown, who plays for the LA Sparks.

When Reese signed the multi-year agreement with Reebok in October 2024, it also included a signature shoe line for the WNBA star.
The Chicago Sky star revealed the big news on her "Unapologetically Angel" podcast. With O'Neal by her side as the guest on the podcast, Reese also told her fans about her signature shoe that would hit the market in 2026.
"I'm extremely excited to let you guys know that we are officially coming out with a Reebok by Angel signature shoe!" Reese said.
"We've already kicked off the design process, and it means the world to me to have Reebok's full support and confidence with this shoe and overall partnership. A signature shoe has always been a dream of mine, and I want all the young girls out there to remember that anything is possible," Reese added. [3:38]
Reese had a historic rookie season with the Sky. She was the league's leading rebounder and set the WNBA's single-season record in rebounds. She was also named an All-Star and was part of the All-Rookie Team.
She has been putting work in this offseason, ahead of the inaugural Unrivaled League in January. She will join the Rose BC team with Chelsea Gray, Brittney Sykes, Kahleah Copper, Lexie Hull, and Azura Stevens.
