Chicago Sky star Angel Resse's new coach Tyler Marsh extended his congratulations to Kelsey Plum on X on Saturday. The former Aces assistant coach celebrated Plum's jersey being retired by her alma mater with a touching tribute.

Expressing his happiness on Plum's number 10 being retired by the Washington Huskies on Saturday, Marsh had a short note for the two-time WNBA champion. Taking to X to share his thoughts, Marsh wrote:

"Legendary Plummer. Congrats & Deserved! Enjoy the moment. @Kelseyplum10 #10," adding multiple emojis after the comment.

Marsh previously worked with Kelsey during his tenure with the Las Vegas Aces. The former Toronto Raptors assistant coach has been with Plum through both her title wins with the Las Vegas franchise.

The honor bestowed on Plum comes eight years after she graduated college with a degree in Anthropology. Heading to the WNBA directly after her four-year stint in college, Plum was the most decorated player in Washington's history at the time of her exit.

The explosive guard scored a total of 3,527 points during her four-year career, just 270 points shy of Pistol Pete's all-time scoring record. While it was widely known that Plum would eventually be honored by her alma mater, it was gratifying to see it come to fruition.

After years of working as a player development and assistant coach, Tyler Marsh finally got an opportunity to lead his team as he was announced as the Chicago Sky head coach.

Although the start of the new season is months away, Marsh seems to be bonding with his squad already as he was pictured alongside four of his new players on Instagram.

Sharing an image of himself alongside Michaela Onyenwere, Rachel Banham, Moriah Jefferson and Elizabeth Williams on his story, Marsh was pictured having a squad dinner with four of them.

Posting a story about their mini get-together, Marsh captioned the story with two heart emojis. The blue and yellow hearts resembled the color worn by the Sky and showed the unique approach taken by Marsh to mesh with his squad.

Marsh was appointed as the head coach after Teresa Weatherspoon was unable to change the ill luck faced by the Sky last season. The Vinyl BC coach lasted for almost a year in the position before leaving the franchise for newer pastures.
