Angel Reese's mom expresses gratitude as she gleefully gushes over dreamy desert vacation

Angel Reese traveled to Abu Dhabi with her mother for a two-day getaway. The Chicago Sky star posted a series of videos and photos on her social media, giving a peek into her dreamy vacation.

Reese posted a picture of enjoying a camel ride in the desert with her mother, Angel Webb Reese. She also posted a solo video of her mother enjoying the camel ride while donning a white top and rocking a pair of sunglasses. Reese also wore a matching gray long dress, matching it with a scarf.

She also gave a glimpse of the VIP treatment she received at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. The WNBA star posted a picture of the mother-daughter duo enjoying wine and a video of F1 driver Lewis Hamilton interacting with his team.

"48hrs in Abu Dhabi/ Dubai😇," Reese wrote in the caption.

Grateful for the experience, Reese's mother thanked her daughter for the amazing getaway.

"Omg such a great experience with my favorite girl😍 Thx you Sweetheart ❤️," Webb Reese wrote in the comment.

Angel Reese is very close to her mother and credits her confidence, both on and off the court, to her. According to People, Reese told ESPN in 2023 that her mother worked hard to raise her and her brother Julian Reese, who also plays college basketball.

Reese also added that her mother "paved the way" for her and showed her that she could be independent.

Both of Angel Reese's parents played professional basketball. Her mother played for the University of Maryland and later traveled to Europe to play for a team in Luxembourg. After her split from her husband Michael Reese, Webb Reese raised both of her children on her own.

Angel Reese opens up about her relationship with her mom

On May 16, Angel Reese made her WNBA debut against the Dallas Wings. Being raised by a single mom, the opportunity was more than the WNBA star could have ever asked for and Reese took the opportunity to praise her mom.

Before the game, ASWM's Dorothy J. Gentry spoke to Reese about what keeps her motivated in life. Reese credited her mom and her brother Julian Reese for keeping her motivated throughout her journey.

"I'm from Baltimore … My mom is a single mom," Reese said. "Being able to raise two kids … I just graduated. My mom wouldn’t have been able to pay for college for me and my brother without athletic and academic scholarships. So, I'm blessed.

"My mom didn't have student loans, my brother graduates in December. So being able to walk away like that is all I've ever wanted in life. Me and my mom have a really close relationship. Just me, my mom, and my brother. That's who we've always been, so that's my motivation."

According to People, Reese's mother was the biggest influence on her choosing to play basketball. The Chicago Sky star watched her mother every Sunday, which ultimately inspired her to set her feet on the basketball court.
