Angel Reese and Rose BC played back-to-back on Saturday's Unrivaled 2025 game-day slate. After losing to Aliyah Boston's Vinyl BC on Friday, Reese and Co. hoped to turn things around against Napheesa Collier's Lunar Owls BC. The Sky star started next to Chelse Gray and Kahleah Copper again, going up against the formidable lineup of Skylar Diggins-Smith, Napheesa Collier and Alisha Gray.
Reese's game started with a made basket on her first attempt, shortly followed by a foul after Gray drove against her to the rim. Reese scored again after driving on Napheesa Collier to go 2 for 2. Her hot start continued after she pulled up from mid-range to score her sixth point while maintaining her 100% shooting efficiency.
The Rose BC trailed 29-21 despite Angel Reese's clinical efforts after the first quarter. Collier and Gray combined for 23 points for Luna Owls BC, and that dictated the game early on. Reese finally missed a shot on her first attempt of the second quarter.
However, she converted her next with an and-1 opportunity, which she failed to convert. The Rose BC trailed 49-39 at halftime.
Angel Reese scored four quick points in her first shift of the second half to trim the Luna Owls BC's lead to six. She went 1 of 3 but scored a free throw worth two points. Reese re-entered the game with a three-point deficit for the Rose BC. However, she didn't impact the game much, and the Rose BC trailed by six entering the fourth. The score to win the game was set at 79.
Reese's first attempt in the final quarter was emphatically blocked by Napheesa Colliers, forcing the Rose star's fourth miss of the night. Reese's woes in the second half continued after she went 1 of 4, missing another shot at the rim with Colliers guarding her.
That was the end of Reese's night as the Lunar Owls BC wrapped up the game after the Rose star sat on the bench.
Skylar Diggins-Smith scored the game-winner again from the free throw line, giving the Luna Owls a 79-70 win and Angel Reese's Rose BC a second consecutive loss.
