The Atlanta Dream took on the Minnesota Lynx for the second time this season in the WNBA. Atlanta, which lost, 92-79 late last month, tried to get some payback and keep its head above water in the standings. The Dream, however, lost 68-55 behind a rough-shooting night from Allisha Gray and Rhyne Howard. They went 2-for-25 combined, including 0-for-14 from deep.
The streaking Lynx strung their fifth straight win and ninth in the last 10 games. Minnesota's offense wasn't at its best but shackled the Dream to add another W to its win-loss slate.

Atlanta Dream vs. Minnesota Lynx game summary
The first quarter between the Atlanta Dream and Minnesota Lynx was tight throughout. It wasn't until the final 3:10 minutes that the host got some separation. Rhyne Howard's two free throws made it 12-11 for Atlanta before Minnesota closed the period with a 7-0 blast.
The second frame went the same route as the first, only this time, Atlanta stayed close until the halftime break. Niah Coffey cut the deficit to 32-30 before Courtney Williams sank three free throws off a foul by Howard. The Lynx took a 35-30 advantage after the first 20 minutes ended.
The third quarter between the Atlanta Dream and the Minnesota Lynx was sloppy. Both couldn't get their offense going after committing a handful of turnovers. The hosts still won the quarter 21-17 to take a 56-47 lead heading into the final frame.
The desperate Dream had a last-ditch attempt to overhaul the Lynx's lead in the last quarter. Minnesota's offense stuttered by its defense held up. Cheryl Reeve had to be ecstatic after her team limited Atlanta to eight points in the fourth period.
Lynx forward Bridget Carleton's back-to-back 3-pointers late in the game were the nails in the Dream's coffin.
Allisha Gray, Rhyne Howard, Bridget Carleton and Kayla McBride 3-pointers tonight
The Dream's woes hitting the basket were epitomized by Allisha Gray and Rhyne Howard's shooting from deep. They combined to go 0-for-14 from behind the arc. Atlanta might have pushed the Lynx to the end they made a few of those attempts in the fourth quarter.
Meanwhile, Bridget Carleton carved Atlanta's coverage with a 4-for-5 clip from the same distance. Kayla McBride also had a decent night, making two of her six shots from the same range.
