Bam Adebayo of the Miami Heat took a friendly jab at his Olympics hangout buddy and Las Vegas Aces star A'ja Wilson over her wrinkled T-shirt. Wilson rocked a wrinkled shirt ahead of the Aces' home game against the LA Sparks on Sunday night.
In a post on X, formerly known as Twitter, Adebayo asked his followers if they were still ironing their clothes or stopped completely after the COVID-19 pandemic. The Heat big man didn't tag Wilson, but his followers knew that it was a friendly shot at the two-time WNBA champion.
"Do people still iron their clothes?? Or did it stop after Covid?" Adebayo tweeted.
Some of Bam Adebayo's followers deduced that it was a shot at A'ja Wilson, who had a wrinkled shirt ahead of the Las Vegas Aces' game on Sunday at the Michelob ULTRA Arena. Wilson was wearing a white shirt that needed ironing and gray jogging pants.
"Fresh out the pack," Wilson posted.
The friendly jab on social media was not surprising to those who followed the two Team USA stars at the 2024 Paris Olympics. They were spotted by fans out in Paris after winning the gold medal in the men's and women's competitions, respectively.
Wilson won her second gold medal and her first Olympic tournament MVP award. She was regarded as the best player in the women's tournament, averaging 18.7 points, 10.2 rebounds and 2.7 blocks in six games.
Meanwhile, Bam Adebayo also won his second gold medal and had a major role off the bench. He didn't start for Team USA but played his role perfectly when coach Steve Kerr needed him.
