"BBL or Double Ds?": Sophie Cunningham poses cheeky surgery question while sharing BTS snaps from hospital

Sophie Cunningham and the Phoenix Mercury are out of the playoffs after being ousted by the Minnesota Lynx. So, it's now the offseason for her, and she's decided to go through the surgery to get ready for the next season.

The Mercury reserve guard sent updates to her fans about the surgery on social media. She posted a story on her Instagram and hilariously asked her fans to guess which type of surgery she was having: BBL (Brazilian butt lift), Double D (breast implants) or a dead clavicle (a Broken collarbone surgery).

"BBL, or double d's or dead clavicle?" she asked.

Of course, Cunningham wasn't going through any of the first two surgeries. She was poking fun at her own surgery. The dead clavicle was the right answer. She had given an update about the shoulder surgery on her story earlier.

Sophie Cunningham played through her injury during the season. She was one of the league's best players coming off the bench. She was impactful on both ends of the floor and was a good shooter.

Cunningham played every game, averaging 8.4 points while shooting 42.9%, including 37.8% from the 3-point line. She also averaged 3.9 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 1.0 steals per game in 27.7 minutes.

Before Sophie Cunningham went through her surgery, she received a message from her father. The Mercury star posted a screenshot of the conversation that she had, during which she was also teasing him.

In the picture, Cunningham's father texted her about the surgery.

"Good luck tomorrow I have you in my prayers tonight," her father wrote. "Always remember how much I love you. Wish I was there with you tomorrow."

However, Sophie replied with a question.

"This is the nicest text you've ever sent me," Sophie replied.

"I love you so much daddio Am I not in your prayers every night?"

"Bull sh*t I send nice text all the time," Cunningham's father replied.

So far, Cunningham has not given any update on her surgery since she posted the update earlier Tuesday.
