Angel Reese has shifted her focus from the WNBA to the upcoming inaugural season of Breanna Stewart's Unrivaled 3-on-3 league. After suffering a wrist injury late in the 2024 WNBA season, Reese and the Chicago Sky fell out of playoff contention. Since then, Reese has continued to rehab a wrist injury, making an appearance at the Chicago Bears game this past weekend.

On Thursday, a collaborative post with Call of Duty was featured on the Chicago Sky star's Instagram page. In it, an unnamed individual does a fit check in a mirror, saying he's taken control of Reese's account so she can play Call of Duty Black Ops.

The post led some fans to believe that Reese could be featured as a playable character in the game, joining the likes of Snoop Dogg, Nicki Minaj, and 21 Savage.

Immediately, the WNBA community began to react to the collaborative post, which also appeared on Reese's account on X, formerly known as Twitter.

"Better not get Clark in the lobby, or you’re screwed!," one wrote
"'Slamming people in call of duty' who typed this sh*t," another added.

Others expressed an interest in playing alongside Reese:

"Gone head and send the gamer tag so we can get these runs!," one wrote.
"Chileee let me go buy a playstation real quick," another added.

Chicago Sky GM Jeff Pagliocca opens up on relationship with Angel Reese after firing of Teresa Weatherspoon

Early in the offseason, the Chicago Sky decided to part ways with coach Teresa Weatherspoon, much to the dismay of Angel Reese, who publicly voiced her displeasure on X, formerly known as Twitter.

In a lengthy post, Reese opened up on her heartbreak surrounding the situation, explaining how close she was to the former coach. In addition, she was notably absent from the team's ground-breaking ceremony earlier in the week, which caught the attention of fans.

Given the frustration Angel Reese had expressed online, many fans on social media questioned whether or not her absence was indicative of bigger problems within the franchise.

While speaking with reporters, Chicago Sky GM Jeff Pagliocca opened up on the team's relationship with Reese, making it clear that despite her initial frustrations, everything was all good between the two sides. He was quoted by the Chicago Tribune as saying:

"The franchise’s relationship with Angel is in a good spot. Emotions were high for a couple days and we can respect that. We can appreciate it. We understand that there’s bonds that are built with coaches and players, especially the young ones.
“So, we’re in a good place right now. We’re back in discussions. Everything has calmed down quite a bit, but I understand it. Emotions are a real part of this thing when you have a real friendship.”

While there's still plenty of time before the 2025 WNBA season, between her collaboration with Call of Duty, rehabbing her wrist, and Breanna Stewart's 3-on-3 league, Angel Reese will be plenty busy between now and then.
