Breanna Stewart was hyped up after taking a first look at Unrivaled headquarters, according to her latest post on X (formerly Twitter). On Thursday, one of the league's co-founders shared a three-word message on social media to let people know her impression of the brand-new league's HQ.
"Woah, facility is 🔥@Unrivaledwbb," she tweeted.
Stewart and Minnesota Lynx star Napheesa Collier teamed up to create the new 3-on-3 league to prevent WNBA stars from going overseas to earn money during the offseason. They have secured high-profile names like Angel Reese, Chelsea Gray and Satou Sabally, to name a few.
If that wasn't enough, they already secured the services of college stars Paige Bueckers and Flau'jae Johnson, as well as injured Cameron Brink for future seasons. They have put a lot of time and dedication into this league and fans are waiting to see what the new competition will bring for the best female players in the world.
Breanna Stewart is coming off one of her best seasons in the WNBA, leading the New York Liberty to the 2024 championship in their sixth trip to the Finals. The forward's duo with Sabrina Ionescu proved a terrific partnership and with the help of Courtney Vandersloot, Jonquel Jones and more, the Liberty reached glory.
She's now hoping to have similar success alongside Collier, her opponent in the 2024 Finals.
Breanna Stewart makes her thoughts clear about Paige Bueckers joining Unrivaled in the future
Something that makes Unrivaled more intriguing to fans is the promise of watching stars taking on the competition in the future. Paige Bueckers is one of those players expected to be on the court in the future, something that has Stewart excited. In a video published a couple of weeks ago, she shared her thoughts on the UConn star eventually joining her league.
"I think that investing in Paige is never going to be a wrong choice," Stewart said. "I'm really excited to have her be a part of Unrivaled, whether it's from afar while she's still playing (at UConn) or in 2026 when she's in the league and hanging with the big dogs over here." [17:13 - 17:31]
Paige Bueckers is considered the No. 1 overall pick in the 2025 WNBA Draft. She's one of the best prospects the league has ever seen and her name always draws attention.
The 2026 edition of Unrivaled could have even bigger names to take the competition to new heights alongside Breanna Stewart and others.
