Breanna Stewart put on an impeccable performance during New York Liberty's game against the Phoenix Mercury at the Footprint Center on Tuesday. Frustratingly for Stewart, her all-around masterclass went in vain as the Liberty lost the back-and-forth battle 93-99.
The reigning WNBA MVP dropped 28 points in 35:57 on 10-of-15 shooting from the field, including 4-of-4 from the 3-point range. The 2-time NBA Finals MVP also had five assists and five steals along with four rebounds and a block.
During her outing on Tuesday night, Stewart became only the fourth player in WNBA history with 400 three-pointers made and 350 block shots.
The liberty superstar reached the milestone in record time and obliterated 3-time MVP Lauren Jackson's record. Breanna Stewart achieved the milestone in 45 fewer games than Lauren Jackson and secured her place at the summit of an exclusive list.

Breanna Stewart is having another stellar season for Liberty
Breanna Stewart has begun the 2024 season right from where she had left last year in the WNBA Finals. The 2-time league MVP is averaging 19.2 points, 9.2 rebounds and 3.6 assists after playing 15 games this season.
She also averages 2.1 steals and 1 block shot in the ongoing season with a +/- of +8.6.
New York Liberty's defeat against the Phoenix Mercury was only the franchise's third loss of the season. Stewart along with Sabrina lonescu and Jonquel Jones has led Liberty's charge remarkably well so far. Liberty boasts a record of 12-3 after 15 games.
The Liberty are eyeing to turn last year's runners-up finish into a championship this season and Breanna Stewart is at the forefront of Liberty's push for a WNBA title.
