Caitlin Clark’s family, parents Brent and Anne and brothers Colin and Blake, often watched her compete for Iowa. In some of her biggest games with the Hawkeyes, they were there to cheer for her. Clark’s biggest supporters brought their act to the WNBA now that she plays for the Indiana Fever.
On Thursday, Clark joined her cheerleaders on the sidelines to root for the Butler Bulldogs against the Northwestern Wildcats. The family came to support Connor McCaffery, the WNBA star’s boyfriend, who is an assistant coach for the Bulldogs.
The Clarks were at the Mullett Arena in Tempe, Arizona, to also root for Patrick McCaffery, Connor’s younger brother. In the photo, seated from left to right, were Blake, Colin, Caitlin, Anne, and Brent.
Caitlin Clark and her entourage watched an exciting showdown in the Arizona Tip-Off Cactus Division. Heading into the matchup, Northwestern had a 5-1 record, slightly better than Butler’s 4-1 win-loss slate. As expected, the showdown was tight from the opening buzzer to late in the fourth quarter.
The Bulldogs grabbed a 31-28 lead at halftime, but the Clarks and the fans knew the Wildcats weren’t going away. Patrick McCaffery scored five points while his older brother, Connor McCaffery, shouted instructions from time to time on the bench.
