Indiana Fever star Caitlin Clark bombarded her former Iowa Hawkeye teammates, Gabbie Marshall and Jada Gyamfi, with a series of candid comments during their recent TikTok live session.

While her former teammates went live together, Clark interacted with them via the comment section, dropping various remarks ranging from Marshall's headphones to revealing that she was playing Scrabble during the live session.

Caitlin Clark still keeps in touch with her former Iowa teammates and often has playful exchanges with them on social media. Their lighthearted exchanges showcase the camaraderie and playful dynamic formed between the former teammates.

On the podcast "Talking Hawks with the VandeBergs" earlier this year, Jada Gyamfi shared how she cultivated her bond with her Hawkeye seniors:

"I leaned on them a lot which I think helped them trust me because I was like, 'Hey, I'm going through this and you have been through this.'"

Gyamfi also highlighted Clark's humorous and friendly nature, which made it easy for them to connect.

"Caitlin was an easy one cause we could sit and laugh for hours. She's really funny. I'm really funny and I knew her kind of coming into this," she said.

Caitlin Clark's former teammate drops cheeky comment on her jersey retirement news

Earlier this month, Iowa shared a post on Instagram announcing its plans to retire Caitlin Clark's No. 22 jersey during a special ceremony at Carver-Hawkeye Arena on Feb. 2.

The announcement, celebrating Clark's historic collegiate career with the Hawkeyes, received much praise from fans and former teammates. Moreover, Clark's ex-Hawkeye teammate, Jada Gyamfi, added a cheeky twist to the celebration with a humorous comment on the post.

“She must've been really good!” Gyamfi wrote.

Caitlin Clark is arguably the best player in Iowa basketball history. She averaged 28.4 points and 8.2 assists per game across her four years with the team while shooting 37.7% from beyond the arc. Clark led the Hawkeyes to three Big Ten championships and two NCAA title game appearances in 2023 and 2024. However, they lost both championship games.

"I’m forever proud to be a Hawkeye, and Iowa holds a special place in my heart that goes beyond basketball,” Clark told the Hawkeyes' website. “It means so much to me to receive this honor and share it with my family, friends, and alumni. It will be an amazing feeling to see my jersey hanging in the rafters alongside those I’ve looked up to for so long."

The Indiana Fever star made history when she broke the record for most career points in Division I basketball across both men's and women's categories. She also won two Wooden and Naismith Awards to add to her illustrious collegiate career.
