Caitlin Clark and her boyfriend Connor McCaffery were in attendance at the NFL preseason game between the Indianapolis Colts and Arizona Cardinals. New York Knicks star Jalen Brunson was also shown to the Indianapolis crowd and got heavily booed.

With the Indiana Fever having the day off on Saturday night, Clark and McCaffery had some time to watch the Colts beat the Cardinals 21-13 in preseason. There were a lot of fans in attendance at the Lucas Oil Stadium less than a month before the start of the season.

According to Indiana Pacers beat reporter Alex Golden, the Colts played the "This or That" game between Clark and Brunson. The Fever star rookie was cheered by the home fans while the Knicks guard was not very popular in the city of Indianapolis after going up against the hometown Pacers in the NBA playoffs.

Caitlin Clark is possibly the most popular athlete in the entire state of Indiana right now. Clark has taken the WNBA by storm in her rookie season and is just coming off a huge 98-89 win over the Phoenix Mercury in their first game since the Olympic break.

Connor McCaffery has been in a relationship with Clark since last year. They were both basketball stars at the University of Iowa and are now both living in Indiana. McCaffery currently works for the Pacers as a team assistant.

As for Jalen Brunson, he's one of the breakout stars of the past NBA season and has become the face of the New York Knicks. He also became a rival for Tyrese Haliburton and the Indiana Pacers, reigniting the animosity between the two franchises.

So it's understandable that Brunson was booed in Indianapolis. The same can be said for Haliburton when he appeared on SmackDown at Madison Square Garden.

The Indiana Fever began the second half of the season on Friday night against the Phoenix Mercury at the Gainbridge Fieldhouse. The Fever took control of the game early on and built a double-digit lead in the first quarter. They maintained the lead until the third quarter when the Mercury began to trim the advantage.

However, the Fever held on to get the 98-89 win to improve to 12-15 for the season. They remain seventh in the WNBA standings, which means they are still in the playoff spots.

Caitlin Clark led the way for Indiana with 29 points, five rebounds and 10 assists, while Kelsey Mitchell had 28 points, five rebounds and three assists. Aliyah Boston contributed 14 points, nine rebounds and four assists and NaLyssa Smith added 13 points and nine rebounds.

The Fever are back in action tomorrow as they welcome the Seattle Storm at home. They then go on a two-game road trip against the Minnesota Lynx and Atlanta Dream.
