Caitlin Clark and her boyfriend, Connor McCaffery, were among the big names at Erica Wheeler’s charity event. The affair included a pickleball competition, where Clark and McCaffery teamed up.
Joining them from the Indiana Fever team was Lexie Hull, another guard, who also turned up for the event and shared photos of the game:
While there is no doubt that Clark is one of basketball's fiercest competitors, her and her boyfriend's unfamiliarity with a pickleball racquet was clear in the couple's form. The duo also got into a friendly argument over a missed shot that slipped between them.
Opposing them were Clark's younger brother and Lexie Hull. For Clark, it may have been a mere friendly competition for a charity event, but for Hull, it was serious business, as she was sporting her full game attire in a white tennis costume.

After the event, Caitlin Clark and Lexie Hull were seen trash-talking each other on social media. In a friendly banter, Clark posted a video on her Instagram story, where Hull was apparently not happy with her play and teasingly made a gesture towards the camera as if she was going to hit it. Clark captioned the story:
"My names Lexie and I'm a try hard."
The friendly banter didn't stop there as Hull also had a reply for her rookie teammate. She reposted Clark's story, with the caption:
"Look good, play good. I don't make the rules 🤷♀️"
On Friday, Clark became the only rookie player in WNBA history to register a triple-double in a game. She scored 19 points, 13 assists and 12 rebounds in the Fever's 83-78 win against the New York Liberty.
