Indiana Fever superstar Caitlin Clark, the 2024 WNBA Rookie of the Year, reacted to teammate Lexie Hull's vacation pictures with boyfriend Will Matthiesen. Hull and Matthiessen went to Hawaii to enjoy some sun, sand and sea, as she'll soon be busy preparing for the Unrivaled Basketball League, which is scheduled for January.
In an Instagram post, Hull shared multiple snaps of herself and her boyfriend on vacation. They were enjoying the beach and playing some pickleball. The couple has been together for more than four years, celebrating their anniversary last May 2.
"Mahalo," Hull wrote in the captions.
Caitlin Clark was one of several WNBA players who commented on Lexie Hull's post. Clark and Hull grew close when they became teammates with the Indiana Fever. They spent some time together after the season, but now both are in vacation mode.
"Slay guys🔥😍," Clark wrote.
Caitlin Clark will be playing golf this offseason
After the Indiana Fever were eliminated by the Connecticut Sun in the playoffs, Caitlin Clark told reporters that she was planning to play golf this offseason. Clark played golf growing up and was invited to play at The Annika, scheduled for Nov. 13 in Florida.
The Fever superstar has been training with former LPGA player, Martha Foyer-Faulconer. Clark has impressed her with her feel for the game and her desire to be a better golfer.
"It's also part of her DNA because she's going to do things well," Foyer-Faulconer told Golfweek. "She wants to be as good as she can in everything she touches. She’s very driven and passionate. It’s fun to work with her."
Unlike Lexie Hull, Clark has not taken a big vacation but was recently back home in Iowa. She attended the Hawkeyes football game along with former teammates such as Kate Martin, Gabbie Marshall, Jada Gyamfi, Kylie Feuerbach, Tomi Taiwo and Sydney Affolter.
Lexie Hull to join Unrivaled basketball league
Breanna Stewart and Napheesa Collier's Unrivaled Basketball League announced Lexie Hull as the 29th member of its roster. Hull was the penultimate player revealed to be participating in the new 3-on-3 league to start in January 2025.
It will be interesting to see if Hull is going to be joined by her Indiana Fever teammate Caitlin Clark. Unrivaled is interested in getting Clark to join the roster and play in the league's inaugural season. Maybe it'll help that not only Hull is part of the roster, but also Kate Martin, who played with CC at Iowa.
Unrivaled also announced the six basketball clubs that will participate in their league: the Laces, Lunar Owls, Mist, Phantom, Rose and Vinyl.
