Caitlin Clark drops 2-word reaction on former teammate's scenic adventure 

Indiana Fever star Caitlin Clark recently showed love to her former Iowa Hawkeyes teammate Gabbie Marshall on social media. Before retiring from basketball, Marshall was part of the Hawkeyes trio consisting of Clark and Kate Marti.

However, Gabbie decided to continue her education and is currently pursuing a master's degree in occupational therapy at the University of North Carolina.

On Friday, Marshall posted her water adventure with her family on Instagram. She and her siblings enjoyed their time in Turks and Caicos. Clark showed some love in Marshall's comment section of her post saying:

"slayyyy queen"

Caitlin Clark honored as AP Female Athlete of the Year

Caitlin Clark's entry into professional basketball has been a success. She was named the WNBA Rookie of the Year, was immediately named a WNBA All-Star, and finished fourth in the WNBA MVP ladder. It appears that her accolades have been recognized as the Associated Press has named Clark their Female Athlete of the Year.

The competition was tough for Clark, though, as she only had 10 more votes than the runner-up, Simone Biles. The WNBA star had 35 votes, while the Olympic gymnast had 25 votes. A panel of 74 sports journalists from the Associated Press participated in the voting.

WNBA legend and former AP Female Athlete of the Year Rebecca Lobo commended Caitlin Clark for the work she put in this year. Lobo mentioned how Clark took women's basketball to new heights and has acknowledged how she is at the forefront of the evolution of the sport.

"She’s brought unprecedented attention both in the building, but also viewership to the sport that was worthy of it but didn’t have it yet,” Lobo said. “There’s never been anything like this.”

Lobo was also impressed by Clark's resilience to the criticism she receives on a daily basis.

“I would say she’s navigated it almost flawlessly," Lobo said. "She hasn’t had any big missteps or misspeaks at a time you’re under constant scrutiny. She’s seemed to say and do all the right things. That’s just incredible at a time when it’s constant attention and scrutiny. She has not done anything to tarnish this sort of mild persona she has.”

With the success that Caitlin Clark has garnered in her career so far, the only way to go for her is up.
