Caitlin Clark drops 3-word response to MLB's conditional offer to put her in commentary booth.

A video of the Indiana Fever's superstar Caitlin Clark went viral on Friday. In the clip, the 22-year-old basketball sensation provided play-by-play commentary while watching a Major League Baseball (MLB) game between the Philadelphia Phillies and Milwaukee Brewers on TV.

The video of Clark narrating the game was recorded by her teammate Lexie Hull, who later shared the clip on her TikTok account, giving fans a glimpse of the basketball sensation’s hidden talent.

The video quickly went viral, with Clark's massive fanbase flooding the internet with heartfelt reactions, praising the 22-year-old star's impressive commentary skills.

The MLB's official Instagram account admin was among the thousands who reacted to Clark's viral video. Impressed by the Fever rookie's talent, the MLB extended a conditional offer to have Clark join the commentary booth.

"22,000 likes on this comment and we will get her in the booth," MLB said in a comment.

Clark responded to MLB's offers and replied:

"id be honored."

(At the time of writing, the MLB's comment had garnered over 7,200 likes within just seven hours of being posted)

In addition to her generational basketball talent, Clark has demonstrated her versatility in other areas. Recently, an X user spotlighted her impressive skills on the soccer field from her high school days.

Caitlin Clark is gearing up for her first WNBA playoffs

Although Caitlin Clark was in high spirits while showcasing her commentary skills during the MLB game, she has more serious matters ahead. The 22-year-old rising star is preparing for her first WNBA playoffs, after playing a pivotal role in helping the Indiana Fever secure their first playoff berth in eight years.

Clark and the Fever are scheduled to square off against the Connecticut Sun in the first round of the playoffs. The first game of the best-of-three series is slated to be held at the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Connecticut.

Indiana is the underdog heading into its matchup against the Sun. The franchise lost three of the four games against its Eastern Conference rivals in the regular season.

Having said that, Caitlin Clark and co. recorded a win against Connecticut in the most recent meeting between both teams. Talking about Clark's performance against the Sun this season, the rookie had a tough time executing her game.

In four games against the Sun, Clark averaged 16.5 points on 39.2% shooting from the field, including 34.3% from 3-point range. Her rebounding and assist numbers dipped, with just two boards and 3.8 assists per game, while also recording 6.3 turnovers.

To better understand Clark's struggle against the Sun, the rookie averaged 19.2 points, 5.7 rebounds and 8.4 assists for the entire season.

For Indiana to pull off an upset against Connecticut, Caitlin Clark will need to significantly improve her performance compared to her regular season outings against the same opponent.
