Caitlin Clark has experienced unprecedented popularity in the WNBA. From garnering endorsement deals outside the basketball court to her celebrated reputation among basketball fans, the Indiana Fever star rookie has been a welcome sight in women’s basketball. Wilson is among the brands celebrating Clark's greatness through their latest collection.
On Friday, Clark reshared a post from Wilson’s Instagram handle, which said that the Limitless Collection from the Caitlin Clark Signature Collection is "Coming Soon."
The caption of the original post read:
“Made for Defying Limits. The first collection from Caitlin Clark and Wilson Basketball arrives 7/9.”
The Limitless Series will see some of Clark’s childhood dreams on the custom-made basketballs. The collection has basketballs with phrases like “Play in the WNBA” and “Get a basketball scholarship,” which were goals Clark set for herself as a child.
She has stayed true to her words, becoming a superstar player who is often thought about as the supposed messiah of women's basketball.
Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese to be teammates in All-Star Game
Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese are set to become teammates for the first time in the WNBA All-Star team that will face Team USA Women’s Basketball before they head to the Paris Olympics.
Clark and Reese have been the highlights of the WNBA in the past month. They have already faced each other three times in front of sell-out crowds, and watching them on the same team is set to generate massive media attention, much like their rivalry has done so far in the league.
However, Clark doesn’t want the media and fans’ attention to divert from the other stars on the All-Star and USA teams.
“I don’t think I’ve ever been her teammate before, even at USA Basketball. I know people will be really excited about it, but I hope it doesn’t take away from everyone else,” Clark told The Seattle Times.
“This is a huge accomplishment for everybody on Team USA and everyone on Team WNBA. They all deserve the same praise. I don’t want it to take away from any of that and be the focal point of All-Star weekend because that’s not fair to them.”
Reese and Clark have already made their mark both as individual players and rivals. Clark led the All-Star voting with 700,735 votes, while Angel Reese finished fifth with 381,518 votes. Clark’s Fever teammate Aliyah Boston finished second, Las Vegas Aces superstar A’Ja Wilson finished third and Breanna Stewart finished fourth in the voting.
Women’s Team USA will face the WNBA All-Star Team on July 20 in Phoenix. The AT&T WNBA All-Star 2024 game will be held at Footprint Center.
