Indiana Fever superstar Caitlin Clark reacted to her former Iowa teammate Jada Gyamfi's Instagram post on Saturday. Clark wasn’t the only one to chime in as Kate Martin also shared a heartfelt reaction to the Iowa Hawkeyes forward's photo dump. Gyamfi’s post featured four pictures accompanied by a brief caption reflecting her current mood.
"From iowa city with love," Gyamfi wrote.
Clark, who shares a close bond with Gyamfi and drops frequent reactions to her posts on social media, didn’t hold back this time either. The reigning WNBA Rookie of the Year expressed her feelings with a heartfelt five-word message, sharing her desire to reunite with Gyamfi.
"Can’t wait to see u !!!" Clark commented.
Martin, meanwhile, kept her response simple and heartfelt, using just one word to convey her feelings.
She commented "Beauty" in the comments section of Gyamfi's post.
Caitlin Clark, Kate Martin and Jada Gyamfi shared the court as teammates for the Iowa Hawkeyes for two years, forming a strong bond both on and off the court. The trio has often spoken warmly about their close friendship over the years.
While Gyamfi remains with the Hawkeyes, Clark and Martin made the leap to the WNBA in 2024. Clark was selected as the No. 1 overall pick by the Indiana Fever, while Martin joined the Las Vegas Aces.
Caitlin Clark and Kate Martin explore different offseason routes
The WNBA is in its offseason, with the 2025 season set to tip off later this year. In the meantime, several WNBA stars, including Kate Martin, are competing in the newly-formed 3x3 Unrivaled league in Miami.
Martin opted to play professional basketball during the offseason and committed to joining the league. She represents the Laces Basketball Club and has delivered impressive performances in her first two games.
Meanwhile, Caitlin Clark took a different approach, choosing not to participate in the Unrivaled league. Instead, she has focused on refining her skills in the gym, away from the spotlight.
