The Caitlin Clark effect is still in full display in the WNBA. The 2024 Rookie of the Year was responsible for new records in attendance and viewership, but her impact didn't stop there. She made the numbers for the Indiana Fever, as the 2012 WNBA champions became one of the most popular franchises in American leagues.

X/Twitter user @nosyone4 shared a graphic from Zoomph that shows how much the Fever grew in social value from 2023 to 2024. Their upgraded social value was the No. 1 on the list with $71,996,037, meaning they grew 635.07% from 2023.

"so this is f***ng insane. The Fever had the highest year over year growth and a $71.9mil social value, a higher total than some MLB and NFL teams. Caitlin Clark effect," this person tweeted on Friday.

Other fans joined the discussion, with many expressing surprise at Clark's impact on her franchise.

"CC really the Jordan of the WNBA," one fan said.
"The Indiana Fever… 😮 $71,966,037 social value is INSANE !!!" another fan said.

Others discussed the inclusion of several WNBA teams on the list while pointing out how impressive the Fever's growth was.

"Indiana Fever social media being worth 4-5 times more than the combined total of every WNBA player's salary is WILD," one fan said.
"The Indiana Fever were number 1 in social media value percentage growth. The Indiana Fever’s social media value is worth more than the Minnesota Timberwolves who are in a similar sized market, showing tremendous growth for women’s sports. $72 million vs. $67.5 million," another fan said.

The Indiana Fever is capitalizing on Clark's popularity, and that doesn't seem likely to change anytime soon. The team is working to become a model franchise in every aspect, and their future projects put them on the right track.

Caitlin Clark-led Indiana Fever announces $78 million mega project

The Indiana Fever are well aware they have a world-class player in Caitlin Clark and are acting to put her in the best position to succeed. The team's X/Twitter account shared on Thursday that they made a $78 million investment to bring a state-of-the-art performance center to life.

The training facility will be 108,000 square feet and will feature top-notch training equipment for players. The project is expected to be completed before the 2027 WNBA season. It seems like the social media value is being utilized in the best way for the players.
