This weekend, Indiana Fever star Caitlin Clark and teammate Lexie Hull decided to trade their sneakers for golf cleats. After the team was eliminated from the first round of the WNBA Playoffs, Clark and Hull enjoyed time together on the golf course, where the Rookie of the Year nearly sank a hole-in-one.

After the viral moment, Bri Lewerke, the Indiana Fever's photographer, took to Instagram with a photo dump from Clark and Hull's golf outing. Along with a series of photos showing the two friends and teammates out on the links, Lewerke wrote a heartfelt caption:

"From the court to the course shoutout to @caitlinclark22 @lexiehulll& @willmatthiessen for letting me tag along for a round of 18 so I could practice golf photography ahead of shooting 'The Annika' in November."
"Don’t mind if this becomes a golf photography account for a bit because I’m currently obsessed more to come"

Clark gave a two-word response to the caption in the comments.

"So fire," she wrote.

As Lewerke alluded to in her post, she will photograph Clark next month at an LPGA Pro-Am tournament hosted by famed golfer Annika Sörenstam.

Caitlin Clark expresses excitement ahead of LPGA Pro-Am tournament

Following Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever's first-round elimination from the 2024 WNBA Playoffs, the Rookie of the Year made it clear that she would be taking some time off from basketball.

While many players travel overseas to compete in Europe and Asia, and plenty of other US-based WNBA players will be joining Unrivaled the 3-on-3 league created by Breanna Stewart and Napheesa Collier, Clark shared with media members that she plans to golf during the offseason.

After the LPGA learned of her comments, Clark signed on to participate in a pro-am tournament next month hosted by famed golfer Annika Sörenstam. The LGPA is sponsored by Gainbridge, the company that owns the Gainbridge Fieldhouse where the Fever and the Pacers play.

In a press release, Clark spoke about her passion for golf and her excitement surrounding the tournament:

“I love golf so the opportunity to play in the pro-am for a tournament with a legend like Annika Sorenstam’s name on it is so exciting. Gainbridge is a leader in supporting women’s sports and that’s clear through their commitment to me, this event, Billie Jean King, and Parity Week.
"I’m looking forward to seeing all the LPGA players on the driving range, being part of the Women’s Leadership Summit, and, of course, teeing it up in the pro-am with Annika.”

The Fever star will also participate in a panel at the Women's Leadership Summit leading up to the tournament next month.
