Caitlin Clark was named the AP Player of the Week award after their first week back from the Olympic break. The Indiana Fever rookie has played two games since the return of league games, but she's slowly showing her improvement to fans. Her teammates, Aliyah Boston and NaLyssa Smith, showed love to their rookie.
The former Iowa star averaged 26.0 points, 5.0 rebounds, and 9.2 assists during their two-game stretch. Clark led the team to a 2-0 record as they resumed their regular season.
Both Boston and Smith showed love to their rookie on their respective Instagram stories.
"Swagggggg," Boston said.
"Young n turntttt," Smith posted.
This is the first time Clark has been named Player of the Week. The Fever guard is the second rookie to win the award; the first was Chicago Sky forward Angel Reese this season.
Clark isn't the only Fever player to win the award this season. Boston was given the award during the week of July 10–16.
