Caitlin Clark and Kate Martin's girlfriend Claire Gransee embraced being part of Kate Martin's memorable 2024. Although slightly late to the New Year's social media party, Martin ensured she showed love to her close ones with her latest Instagram post. The Golden State Valkyries centerpiece shared a montage of pics, including ones with Claire and Clark and her other former Iowa teammates.
Martin wrote a heartfelt caption, saying:
"I'd go everywhere with these folks, including into year '25 #newyearswag"
Clark and Claire returned the favor with love-filled reactions.
"Love," CaitlinlClark commented.
Meanwhile, Claire Gransee re-shared Kate Martin's post on her story and added a 'cat pout' emoji.
Clark, Martin and Gransee went to Iowa together. However, Gransee didn't play for the college's women's basketball program. She is a Human Resources Associate for Publicis Sapient in Boston, as per her LinkedIn profile. Martin and Gransee went public with their relationship in June 2024 after the former was drafted by the Las Vegas Aces.
Caitlin Clark's 2024 recap featured Kate Martin
Caitlin Clark's 2024 recap post on Instagram was similar to Kate Martin's. The Indiana Fever star shared a montage of pics, including ones with her former college teammates.
"My fav moments from the best year. Time to make 2025 even better," Clark wrote.
Kate Martin replied to the post, saying:
"What a year"
The former Iowa icons made significant leaps in their basketball careers. Caitlin Clark won the WNBA Rookie of the Year and shattered several other records en route to winning Time Magazine's Athlete of the Year, becoming the first women's basketball player to win the accolade. Clark also made her gold Pro-Am debut.
Meanwhile, Kate Martin, who went to the WNBA draft to support her former college teammate, Clark, ended up getting picked by the defending champions, Las Vegas Aces.
She was picked by the Golden State Valkyries in the expansion draft and will now be a franchise centerpiece. 2025 could be huge for both Clark and Martin. The former will now gun for a WNBA title under new coach Stephanie White, while the latter will finally make her mark with a significant role on a team after sporadic playing time on the Aces.
