Caitlin Clark's arrival has energized the Indiana Fever, who are playing with strong momentum following the Olympic break, with six wins and only one loss. Clark has been pivotal in leading the franchise to a .515 winning percentage, with its 100-93 win over the Dallas Wings on Sunday. With a 17-16 record, it's the first time the team has been over .500 since June 2019.
Kelsey Mitchell led the charge with 36 points and three assists, while Clark garnered 28 points and 14 assists in this key matchup. With this showing, WNBA fans dug up a 2014 tweet from Clark that quoted a lyric from Migos' "Bad & Boujee":
"Rain drop. Drop top. I ball non stop stop 😂😂"
Following the post, several fans reacted on X, formerly known as Twitter:
"The last time the Indiana Fever had a season of .500, Caitlin Clark was tweeting this," a fan said.
"She a rapper too," a fan commented.
"Can't wait for the next Fever game," a fan posted.
The Fever played their first WNBA game in 2000 and made the playoffs 13 times from 2002 through 2016 but haven't returned since, suffering seven consecutive losing seasons. With Caitlin Clark now leading, they seem to be returning to their winning ways.
"Indiana Fever last playoff appearance was in 2016 when Caitlin was being the goofy kid she is. Fast forward eight years, she's leading them int the playoffs," a fan posted.
"Indy in good hands," a fan commented.
"She really got LeBron level of unintentionally funny. She the chosen one," a fan chimed in.
This season, Clark is averaging 18.7 points (42.4% shooting, including 34.1% from 3-point range), 8.4 assists and 5.6 rebounds per game.
Caitlin Clark talked about the team's improved chemistry on court
The Indiana Fever lost five straight games to start the WNBA season, but they have turned their season around since June 13, going 14-6 in that span. What's more, they have won nine of their past 12 games, including going 6-1, while winning each of their last four games, since the break.
According to Clark last month, this development can be credited to their on-court chemistry:
"I think it's just been developing the chemistry with my teammates where they can see it and be on the same page. Now you see people cutting in fast breaks or Kelsey [Mitchell] making a backdoor cut. It's having that chemistry that's unspoken, like I'm not telling them to do that, but they can just kind of read my eyes and understand." [H/T Associated Press]

The Indiana Fever's success has been built on the proper utilization of each other's strengths, which has led to their offense ranking third in the league.
