Caitlin Clark’s boyfriend Connor McCaffery's brother Patrick McCaffery celebrated LA Lakers star LeBron James' 40th birthday on Instagram on Monday. The Butler Bulldogs player reposted an NBA on ESPN post with a special message for the four-time NBA champion.
The post showed James' changing faces through the years.
"The King turns 40 🎂," Patrick wrote in the caption.
Previously, Clark also made a big statement about the Lakers superstar. In a conversation with Time magazine, when Clark was asked about James showing support to her and the WNBA, she said it was cool to have his support. She also called him the basketball GOAT.
"It's been cool to see his support of myself and the W overall," Clark said. "You can tell he really watches and turns it on. ... I mean, he's the greatest basketball player of all time, so I think that's pretty cool."
It appears like the Clark gang has big LeBron James fans.
Fans react to Caitlin Clark and BF attending NBA G League game with apparent empty arena
Caitlin Clark and her boyfriend attended the season opener for the Indiana Pacers' G League team, the Mad Ants, against Salt Lake City Stars. However, the pictures and the videos posted on social media showed an empty arena, drawing reactions from fans.
Some were left wondering if Clark and her boyfriend were the only two people in the arena.
"Seems like they were the only 2," a fan wrote.
"Where's everyone else?" the fan asked.
A fan wrote that instead of attending G League games, Clark should be relaxing and playing golf.
"Caitlin Clark should be down south getting in some rounds of golf and relaxing instead of attending a G League game," the fan wrote.
Some appreciated Clark for supporting Indiana sports and even were ready to support the Mad Ants following Clark.
"This woman is such a treasure for Indiana basketball, and sports. I love seeing her supporting all the teams!" the fan wrote.
"Oh my goodness now I have to support the Mad Ants bc Caitlin Clark watches them... Oh boy 😝😂," the fan hilariously wrote.
"I love how @TheMadAnts showed Caitlin Clark highlights during their game! Caitlin supports Indiana sports and those teams show love in return. My guess is The Mad Ants will have more fans watching now. Caitlin Clark effect back in action," a user wrote.
Some were amused by how Clark avoided the camera.
"lol she is like please can not be seen," the fan wrote.
Clark is arguably the biggest name in Indianapolis right now, and it can't be completely denied that Clark showing up for the G League might help the team in attendance. Moreover, Mad Ants won 127-116.
