Indiana Fever star Caitlin Clark was officially named the 2024 KIA Rookie of the Year on Thursday. Even when the league hadn't confirmed the news, various outlets had already reported that Clark would receive the honor due to her outstanding performance throughout her rookie season.
On Thursday, the league announced Clark as the 2024 KIA Rookie of the Year on Instagram, highlighting her impressive accomplishments. In response, Clark's boyfriend reposted the league's post on his Instagram story.
In addition, he also shared a post made by Clark reflecting on her first year in the league, as well as a separate post made by the Indiana Pacers.

In late September, the Associated Press announced Clark as their 2024 Rookie of the Year, leading to Clark's boyfriend, Connor McCaffery, posting on his Instagram story. Since then, fans around the league have been eagerly awaiting the WNBA's Rookie of the Year announcement.
Indiana Pacers players congratulate Caitlin Clark on 2024 Rookie of the Year win
This season Caitlin Clark emerged as one of the most recognizable players in all of US sports. With more nationally televised games than the Indiana Pacers and a series of attendance records, she quickly became the face of Indiana sports.
Regardless of whether the Fever were competing at home or on the road, fans packed out arenas all around the country to watch Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever compete. At the same time, Clark and her boyfriend, Connor McCaffery, became friends with Pacers star Tyrese Haliburton and his girlfriend.
After Caitlin Clark was announced as the 2024 KIA WNBA Rookie of the Year, Haliburton congratulated Clark in a video posted by the WNBA and the Indiana Pacers.
"Caitlin, congratulations on winning Rookie of the Year. Not a surprise by any means. Very happy for you. Wishing you continued success. And go Fever."
The video posted by the Pacers also included a congratulatory message from Myles Turner, who said:
"Congratulations, Caitlin. For real, man. It's been a pleasure watching you play this year, not only living up to the hype, but doing something I haven't seen here in years and getting back to the playoffs. So congratulations on Rookie of the Year. Best is yet to come, man. Go Fever."
Obi Toppin and his daughter Remy also congratulated Clark on her win:
"What's going on? Caitlin, just wanted to say congratulations on winning Rookie of the Year. You definitely earned it, and there's a lot more accomplishments to come. You got to say anything, Remy? Say congrats. Congrats."
After a hard-fought season that saw Clark help lead the Fever to their first playoff berth since 2016, the star guard is now enjoying her offseason.
