Caitlin Clark was in New York City on Saturday to support her boyfriend Connor McCaffery, who serves as an assistant coach for the Butler Bulldogs. McCaffery and the Bulldogs visited the St. John’s Red Storm at Carnesecca Arena as part of the 2024-25 NCAA season.

In a post on X (formerly Twitter), FOX College Hoops found Clark shared a video of Clark sitting courtside and watching the game closely. She wore a winter jacket, as it was near freezing in New York. She also wore a Butler cap, possibly to avoid the spotlight, but to no avail.

"ROTY is in the building!" the account tweeted.

Caitlin Clark has been a regular at Butler games this season, supporting McCaffery and the Bulldogs. The couple has been dating since April 2023, with McCaffery joining the Indiana Pacers as an assistant after graduation.

Clark followed him to Indianapolis after being drafted by the Fever last year. However, after a year with the Pacers, McCaffery was offered the assistant coaching job at Butler. The university is still within Indianapolis, making it a perfect scenario for the couple.

In addition to Connor, his brother Patrick McCaffery also plays for the Bulldogs in his final year of eligibility. He transferred from Iowa to Butler in a shocking move, as the Hawkeyes had been coached by his father, Fran, since 2010.

The youngest McCaffery, Jonathan, will also join Butler next season after completing his final year of high school. Jonathan, who goes by Jack, is a four-star recruit from West Senior High School in Iowa.

Before committing to Butler, Jack received offers from other basketball programs such as Bryant, Virginia Tech and Wake Forest. There was also interest from Iowa, but no formal offer was extended, according to 247 Sports.

With Caitlin Clark in attendance and the game being televised on Fox Sports, the Butler Bulldogs fell short against St. John’s. RJ Luis Jr. had 20 points and 11 rebounds for the Red Storm, while Pierre Brooks II scored a team-high 18 points for the Bulldogs.

Fran McCaffery added 13 points and 11 rebounds, but it wasn’t enough to prevent a 70-62 loss. It was Butler’s seventh consecutive defeat since early December, dropping their record to 7-8 overall. They are also 0-4 in conference play so far this season.

Butler's next game is Wednesday in Rhode Island against the Providence Friars. The Bulldogs return home to Indianapolis on Saturday for back-to-back games against the Creighton Bluejays and Seton Hall Pirates.

Clark will likely be in attendance at those games as she continues to work with new Indiana Fever coach Stephanie White for the upcoming WNBA season.
