Caitlin Clark penned an emotional letter for her fans following a successful rookie campaign despite doubts from current and former WNBA players. Clark won the 2024 WNBA Rookie of the Year award after leading the Indiana Fever to the playoffs for the first time since 2016.
In a heartfelt post on her Instagram account, Clark thanked the people who made her first year in the league possible. She acknowledged those who supported her and is looking forward to her second season with the Fever next year.
"Year one ✅ — thank you to the many people who have supported me as I’ve been able to live my childhood dream. I’m filled with gratitude as I reflect on this past year of my life. See you all in year two 🖤💫," Clark wrote.
Several of Caitlin Clark's Indiana Fever teammates, peers in the WNBA, and other basketball personalities commented on her post. Clark might have had a lot of critics within and outside the league, but she also received plenty of love and support.
"You deserve it all❤️ ready for moreee with you," Aliyah Boston wrote.
"So proud of you," Las Vegas Aces player and former Iowa teammate Kate Martin commented.

Caitlin Clark finished the season averaging 19.2 points, 5.7 rebounds, 8.4 assists and 1.3 steals per game. Clark led the Indiana Fever to a 20-20 record but they were swept in the first round of the 2024 WNBA playoffs by the Connecticut Sun.
The 22-year-old superstar won Rookie of the Year, while also coming in fourth in MVP voting behind A'ja Wilson, Napheesa Collier and Breanna Stewart. She's not expected to play overseas this offseason or join the Unrivaled League in January.
Caitlin Clark happy to be out of spotlight this offseason
Speaking in her exit interview last week for the Indiana Fever, Caitlin Clark expressed her relief in not having the spotlight now that her season is over. Clark is looking forward to unwinding and taking a vacation this offseason although she was recently seen watching Butler's open practice over the weekend.
"I don't know what I'm going to really do (but) it's going to be nice though," Clark said. "I think getting out of the spotlight and just getting to live my life and do things that I want to do. Not have to sit in like, I love talking to all of you, but it's going to be nice to not have to sit in front of a microphone multiple times a week. I really appreciate all of you, but it will be nice to kind of get away and relax for a little bit." (8:43 onward)
But despite the Fever's season being over, Clark remains in the headlines and it probably won't change anytime soon.
