Caitlin Clark's Indiana Fever teammate Katie Lou Samuelson is spending time with Napheesa Collier as they get ready to compete in the inaugural season of Unrivaled, a 3-on-3 league created by Collier and Breanna Stewart. Collier and Samuelson became very close during their time together at UConn.

Now, as they're set to face off against each other in the brand-new league, the Fever veteran showed that their relationship remains strong. Samuelson shared a picture of Collier walking with two kids, her daughter Mila Sara Bazzell, and Samuelson's kid, Aliya Renea Cannady.

"My heart is full ❤️," she captioned the post.

Collier's daughter was born on May 25th, 2022, while Samuelson gave birth to Aliya on Aug. 4, 2023. The kids appeared to get along just fine, and their mothers looked happy spending time together.

Samuelson will represent Phantom in the upcoming first Unrivaled season, joining the squad as one of the wild cards. She will share the court with Jackie Young, Satou Sabally, Marina Mabrey, Tiffany Hayes and Brittney Griner.

Napheesa Collier will represent the Lunar Owls alongside Skylar Diggins-Smith, Allisha Gray, Natasha Cloud, Shakira Austin, Courtney Williams and Cameron Brink.

Revisiting Napheesa Collier's relationship with Katie Lou Samuelson

Katie Lou Samuelson and Napheesa Collier have known each other for a long time. Their relationship began when they met at a USA basketball camp when they were in high school. They reunited at UConn and formed a close friendship that is still going strong today.

In 2019, Samuelson and Collier told AP that all the time they spent together as freshmen helped deepen their friendship.

"As freshmen, the amount of time we spent together in the dorms, by ourselves, we realized how similar we were and how goofy we both are," said Samuelson.
"Our senses of humor are both kind of weird and we only really laugh at each other's jokes," added Collier.
"Yeah, that's it," Samuelson joked. "Nobody really likes us, just us."

They parted ways after winning the 2016 NCAA national championship together. In 2019, the Minnesota Lynx selected Collier, while the Chicago Sky selected Samuelson, who is now with the Indiana Fever, trying to win a WNBA championship alongside Caitlin Clark. But before that, she'll compete against her good friend and others to try to win the first-ever Unrivaled championship.

The league is nine days away from its beginning and fans are keeping tabs on all the preparations.
