The Indiana Fever touted Caitlin Clark’s impact not just in the WNBA but across the globe. Last season, a few teams had to move out of their usual playing arenas to accommodate fans who wanted to catch the former Iowa superstar in action. Fever road games felt like home slates for the superstar point guard, who's easily pro basketball’s biggest draw.

On Wednesday, Clark celebrated her 23rd birthday, giving the Fever the perfect opportunity to show her global impact. They compiled videos from fans greeting Clark and giving her birthday messages. One fan said:

“Caitlin Clark has inspired me to be a better version of myself in women’s sports.”

A couple from the Philippines in Asia were just as excited for the opportunity to greet their favorite player:

“We’re so proud of you for lifting up the sport and women’s sport in general. It’s so good to be seen and you have made that possible. … When we have our baby girl, we will have you as our inspiration as well.”

A fan from Omaha, Nebraska, added:

“Caitlin, you have made an impact on me by showing me that I don’t need the approval of others to be who I wanna be.”

A fan from Chile in South America said:

“Happy birthday. You deserve everything.”

A young fan from New Hampshire added:

“I watch (your) every game, and I’m a huge fan.”

The heartwarming video also included clips from fans in New Mexico, Perth, Australia, Richmond, Michigan, and other places that didn't make it to the collection.

The global impact Caitlin Clark has had in basketball and women’s sports was a big reason why she was recognized by Time as its “Athlete of the Year.” Forbes had the same conclusion, giving her a slot in its collection of “The World’s 100 Most Powerful Women” in 2024.

Caitlin Clark trained during her birthday

Caitlin Clark continued to work on her game on her special day. The WNBA Rookie of the Year winner went to the Indiana Fever facility to train. Indiana’s social media team showed a clip of the superstar draining 50 of 54 shots.

Most WNBA players are competing overseas or joined the Unrivaled league in the offseason, but Clark chose to stay out of the limelight and train with the Fever staff.

Unsurprisingly, she wasn’t alone in the building, as the Fever coaches and front office prepared something for her. They brought out balloons and a cake while they sang “Happy Birthday” to her.

After blowing the candles, Caitlin Clark told them that she made a wish but kept that to herself.
