After an outstanding 2024 regular season, Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever are returning to the WNBA playoffs since 2016, where they'll face the Connecticut Sun in the opening round. Fans are eagerly anticipating the showdown between Indiana and Connecticut, with Games 1 and 2 setting record-breaking ticket prices.
On TickPick, tickets for Game 1 start at $133, more than double compared to the Phoenix Mercury vs Minnesota Lynx series ($65). The ticket price for the Seattle Storm vs Las Vegas Aces series is $23, while the Atlanta Dream vs New York Liberty series opener ticket is available for $18.
Caitlin Clark became a sensation during her rookie season despite having a rough start, struggling with the league's physicality, and adapting her game. Once the league resumed play in August, Clark was on a mission and took the Fever to the sixth seed in the standings with a 20-20 record.
Analyst says Caitlin Clark should be First-Team All-WNBA
Caitlin Clark had a record-breaking rookie season, immediately making a strong impact on the Fever and the entire league, leading her team to its first playoff appearance since 2016. Speaking on Clark's season, Rebecca Lobo praised the former Iowa Hawkeyes star, saying she should be an All-WNBA.
“Caitlin Clark had a remarkable season, she should be a first-team All-WNBA performer," Lobo said. “I have her fourth on my MVP ballot, which is incredible considering how the season started for Indiana.
“A 1-8 start. Her first game against the Connecticut Sun, she had 10 turnovers and now she ends up leading the league in assists. It kind of comes full circle, as her first game of her career was against Connecticut and now her first playoff game of her career is going to be the same. It’ll be interesting to see how much better she’s in this playoff game than she was in that first game of her pro career."
Clark averaged 19.2 points, 5.7 rebounds, 8.4 assists and 1.3 steals per game, shooting 41.7% from the field and 90.6% from the free-throw line in the regular season.
