Caitlin Clark was the special guest of Gainbridge as part of Parity Week. After the event, she took to her Instagram story to appreciate the organizers for their initiative as it empowers women's sports.
"Thanks for investing in women's sports, Gainbridge!" Clark captioned.
Clark's attendance drew a large crowd just like how her presence brought record numbers of fans to WNBA games. The fans present lined the course wearing jerseys of the Indiana Fever star as well as her college team, the Iowa Hawkeyes.
During the event, she teed up alongside world No. 1 Nelly Korda. Surprisingly, her golf game was as impressive as her skills on the basketball court, as she hit great shots, which included a chip-in with tournament host, Annika Sorenstam.
Caitlin Clark named in the top 10 highest-paid female athletes
Caitlin Clark is among the top 10 highest-paid female athletes of 2024 released on Wednesday by Kurt Badenhausen of Sportico. The WNBA Rookie of the Year made over $11 million in her first year as a pro basketball player, which is not a surprise to many as she took the league by storm in her debut season.
Clark was included in the list not based on her WNBA salary of $76,535 but on her endorsements with global brands. Some of her lucrative deals include partnerships with Nike, State Farm, Gatorade and Panini, among others.
Furthermore, her performance on the court also played a part, if not a minor role. She earned bonuses for her record-breaking WNBA rookie season with the biggest one being the $10,300 she earned for her selection as an All-Star and making the All-WNBA first team.
With the new WNBA season starting in May, the Catilin Clark effect is expected to be even more intense.
