Caitlin Clark expressed her admiration for her alma mater, Iowa Hawkeyes, on social media. The Indiana Fever star dropped in the comments section of a photographer's Instagram post
who uploaded the pictures from Wednesday's Iowa game.
The Iowa Hawkeyes faced the Iowa State Cyclones in a thrilling game. The Hawkeyes walked away as the winners with a final score of 75-69. Tony Nguyen uploaded pictures from the game and the postgame moments on his Instagram, grabbing Clark's attention.
"These r insane," Caitlin Clark commented.

The first picture on the post featured Hawkeyes' coach Jan Jensen surrounded by her players after the win. The post also featured Lucy Olsen, Sydney Affolter, and other Iowa stars.
Olsen was the star of the night as she led the team in scoring with 25 points. She also collected one rebound and dished out five assists to help the team secure the win.
Hannah Stuelke and Affolter also stepped up their games and played their part to secure the win. Stuelke scored 13 points, collected nine rebounds, dished out two assists, and made four steals, while Affolter scored 16 points, collected six rebounds, and dished out two assists.
Audi Crooks from the Cyclones delivered a stunning performance for the losing team. She scored a game-high 31 points, collected 10 rebounds, and provided two assists. The Hawkeyes are having a great season. They have a 9-1 record and are the 10th seed in the Big Ten standings.
A former Iowa teammate jokingly threatened to block Clark
Clark took the world by storm when she led the Hawkeyes to back-to-back national championship game appearances. Her popularity soared even further after she went pro as the first pick of the 2024 WNBA draft.
Since making her debut in the league on May 14, Clark has made a name for herself. She averaged 19.2 points, 5.7 rebounds, and 8.4 assists last season and won the Rookie of the Year. Earlier this month, Time named Clark the Athlete of the Year, bringing her praise from fans and legends alike.
However, Clark's former teammate, Jada Gyamfi, jokingly threatened to block the Fever star on social media. On Dec. 6, Gyamfi and Hannah Stuelke posted a TikTok video of them dancing. Clark slid into the post's comments section and teased her former teammate.
"More film and sleeping. Less TikTok," Clark commented.
Gyamfi was quick to respond to the Fever star with a clever answer:
"I’m so close to blocking you on socials."
The Indiana Fever star is in her first professional offseason right now, and with the extra time on hand, she has taken a liking to golf.
