Indiana Fever rookie Caitlin Clark made her playoff debut on Sunday. Clark spearheaded the Fever's charge in Game 1 of the best-of-three series against the Connecticut Sun at the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville. The 22-year-old struggled with her shooting as the Fever fell to a blowout 93-69 defeat.
Clark finished with 11 points on 4-of-17 shooting, including just 2-of-13 from beyond the arc. Despite the rough shooting night, the rookie contributed with four rebounds, eight assists, three steals, and one block.

Fresh off her fourth-place finish in MVP voting, Caitlin Clark immediately made an impact by assisting Indiana's first basket, with Kelsey Mitchell sinking a mid-range jumper.
Clark took her first shot on the Fever's second possession, missing from beyond the arc. Though she missed her second attempt as well, the rookie grabbed the offensive rebound and set up Aliyah Boston for an easy finish at the rim.
Clark scored her first career playoff basket with 3:17 left in the first quarter, finishing a difficult shot inside the paint. The 22-year-old scored three points on 1-of-5 shooting from the field and dished out three assists in the first quarter.
Clark's offensive struggles continued into the second quarter, but Indiana stayed competitive as other players stepped up to share the scoring load. The former Iowa standout delivered a precise pass to Boston, who finished with a layup and gave Indiana a 36-34 lead.
Clark went scoreless in the second quarter and entered halftime with just three points, shooting 1-of-9 from the field, including 0-of-6 from the 3-point range. However, she recorded four assists by the break.

Caitlin Clark’s shooting struggles continued early in the second half, missing her first two three-point attempts. However, the rookie compensated with two excellent assists, first to Boston in the paint, followed by a pinpoint pass to Mitchell in the corner.
Clark's finally broke free and knocked down her first shot from beyond the arc with 6:54 remaining in the third quarter. The rookie scored a layup before knocking down another shot from the three-point range. She scored eight points in the period but Fever entered the fourth quarter trailing 68-57.
Clark's shooting woes continued in the final quarter as the Sun pulled away, extending their lead to as many as 21 points with 5:43 left in the game. The Fever point guard went scoreless in the fourth as the Sun secured a dominant victory.
