Caitlin Clark continued to shatter records at breakneck speed. The Indiana Fever has become the fastest player in NBA history to hit 300+ points, 100+ rebounds, and 100+ assists as the Indiana Fever took on the Seattle Storm at the Climate Pledge Arena on Thursday (June 27).

However, the feat didn't translate to a win, as the Storm walked away with an 89-77 win. Clark ended her evening with 15 points, six rebounds and seven assists. but her efforts and landmark moment during the game went in vain.

Clark ended her evening with 4-9 shooting from the field and launched 3-7 beyond the arc — one of them connecting from the logo. She once again recorded the most turnovers (6) in the game, though.

The Storm, led by Jewell Llyod's 34 points, Ezi Magbegor (18 points) and Nneka Ogwumike (15 points and 11 rebounds) had the better of Fever's misfiring offense.

Barring Clark, Kelsey Mitchell and Erika Wheeler had 14 and 15 points respectively. The loss pegs the Fever to 7-12 and on a two-game slide. Earlier, the Indiana Fever roared back to form with a four-game winning stretch but will now have to look for momentum again.


The accolades continue to pour in for Caitlin Clark

WNBA rookie sensation Caitlin Clark continues to add more trophies to her cabinet. The latest is the 2024 Honda Cup Award for the second year in a row, recognizing her as the collegiate woman athlete of the year.

It comes after her second consecutive Naismith National Player of the Year silverware, and the Wade Trophy for the Women's Basketball Coaches Association's Division I Player of the Year.

As for her maiden season in the WNBA, Clark is well on her way to 'Rookie of the Year' honors, with Angel Reese also competing for the award. The Fever guard is averaging 16.3 points, 5.4 assists and 6.6 rebounds per game in 18 matchups. She's second on the rookie ladder, with Reese taking the top spot in the latest rankings.

The Fever is 7-12 with their latest loss and fallen to ninth overall in the standings. Up next, Caitlin Clark and Indiana will look to return to winning ways and keep their slim playoff hopes alive when they play powerhouses Phoenix Mercury and the Las Vegas Aces.
