After the international break, Indiana Fever rookie Caitlin Clark dazzled with her performances. However, the rookie is in danger of being suspended. During her recent 92-75 win against the Seattle Storm, Clark picked up a technical foul with the issuing referee citing 'disrespectful behavior'.
With this foul, Clark has five technical fouls. As per the league's rules, a player is suspended for one game after accumulating seven technical fouls. This could be a major issue for the Fever later in the season or if they make the playoffs.
She is just two techs from missing one game, and if that suspension comes in a playoff game, It would be a big loss for the Fever. Clark is a key to Indiana's success; she is the floor general who is responsible for initiating every offensive play. Clark is also the team's assists leader this season averaging 8.3 assists per game.
Caitlin Clark is safe now, and the technical foul she received against the Seattle Storm will not bar her from playing in future games. However, she has to curb her aggression moving forward.
