WNBA fans were treated to the latest installment of Angel Reese versus Caitlin Clark on Friday. Led by a career-high 31 points from Clark, Indiana Fever cruised to a 100-81 victory over Chicago Sky at the Wintrust Arena.

This was a fairly one-sided affair with Fever taking the lead in the second quarter and never looking back. Following the result, Barstool sports founder Dave Portnoy mocked Reese over her fourth quarter performance in a series of posts on X.

For Portnoy, what stood out was Angel Reese battling late into the game despite her team trailing by over 20 points. The Barstool Sports founder posted a video after Reese secured her 23rd double-double of the season. In the audio of the clip, he can be heard mocking the 22-year-old forward.

"Haha, there's the double-double queen. 98-78. Caitlin is already on the bus. Caitlin is already back in Indiana," stated Portnoy.

Portnoy also posted a few minutes before sharing the double-double clip, calling out Reese for chasing down the record.

"Kinda funny watching Angel chase her double double record during the final 4 minutes of a 30 pt blowout while Caitlin checked out 2 hours ago to a standing O on the road. #FeverRising," stated Portnoy.

Earlier this season, Angel Reese shattered the WNBA recorded after logging 15 consecutive double-doubles to overtake former LA Sparks star Candance Parker's previous record of 12. She finished with 10 points and 11 rebounds on Friday to record her 23rd double-double of the season, securing the most double-doubles ever by a rookie in league history.

The Indiana Fever's win over the Chicago Sky was a major boost for the team's playoff hopes. Indiana moves up to sixth in the standings with a 16-16 record. Chicago sits in eighth spot and holds the final playoff position with a 11-20 record.

The game was also a key encounter for Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese as they battle it out for the coveted WNBA Rookie of the Year award.

Reese has been outstanding this year, averaging a double-double with 13.2 points and 12.9 rebounds per game.

Clark has matched Reese every step of the way and her impressive outing on Friday against the Sky in Chicago was a statement to any doubters. Her average jumped to 18.4 points per game after her career-high outing. She also ranks first in the league in assists, averaging 8.3 dimes per game.
