Cameron Brink celebrates her birthday at the end of every calendar year. Entering 2025 with an engagement ring on her finger, she received a heartwarming message from the man she'll be calling her husband.
In an Instagram story, Brink's fiance Ben Felter sent her a heartwarming greeting as she celebrated her 23rd birthday on Dec. 31:
"Happy Birthday to the love of my life," Felter's caption read.
Felter's surprise wedding proposal took place back in September. Brink was in Paris to attend a Balenciaga event during Paris Fashion Week, while Felter had claimed that he couldn't make it to France because of other commitments.
Felter then showed up and, on the rooftop of Shangri-La Paris, popped the question on one knee.
"Yes in every lifetime," said Brink in an Instagram post celebrating her engagement.
Both Brink and Felter have been involved in Stanford athletics: Brink was a star on the basketball team while Felter competed in rowing. They began dating in March 2021.
Ben Felter played a prank on Cameron Brink as online reactions to their engagement piled up
Brink and Felter's engagement has drawn a variety of responses from online users. The couple certainly took notice, and Felter went so far as to play a prank fueled by these responses.
In a video posted by Whistle Sports on Dec. 6, Cameron Brink is seen entering a room where a "press conference" is supposedly happening. Upon entering the room, Brink is surprised to see two children dressed as members of the media.
“Hi friends!" said Brink to her would-be interviewers. "What's going on? Did Bengus [Ben Felter] prank me? Where is Bengus?”
One of the "interviewers," not wanting to give Felter away, replied, "No comment." This response drew a hearty laugh from Brink.
The same child then asked Brink about her thoughts on netizens' intense reactions to her engagement. "Some of my personal favorites include: 'My life is over!'...'We failed'...'Is this guy bothering you?'"
The other "interviewer" then told Brink that his mother had supposedly prohibited him from getting married. The Los Angeles Sparks forward assured this child that his mother loved him.
All the while, Felter watched the prank unfold from a hidden room.
