Maddy Siegrist, 24, was born in Poughkeepsie, New York. She attended Villanova University and was drafted by the Dallas Wings in 2023.

Maddy Siegrist had a breakout year in WNBA

Maddy Siegrist had a breakout year in the WNBA. After being drafted in 2023, the former Villanova star didn't get much time on the floor in her rookie season. However, this season was different.

Siegrist's time increased substantially from just over eight minutes in her first season to over 20 minutes in the second. In her first 13 games, she averaged 14.6 points and 4.2 rebounds. However, she suffered a left index finger injury and surgery kept her out for two months.

After recovering from injury, her playing time wasn't the same until the last few games of the season. Following her return, she had nine games in which she featured for less than 20 minutes. Of those nine games, she played under 10 minutes four times.

Despite the long break, Siegrist did not lose her efficiency from the floor and averaged 9.4 points on 50.5% shooting from the field.

The Wings failed to make the WNBA playoffs after finishing in ninth.
