Chicago Sky All-Star forward Angel Reese showcased her keen sense of style and risk-taking qualities once again, as she donned glamorous attire to celebrate the new year. Reese posed in a brown and champagne-colored dress with a deep plunging neckline.
She shared the photos on Instagram on Wednesday with the caption indicating how she intends to continue to be her unapologetic self in 2025. The 22-year-old baller wrote:
"Two things can be true. 2025, ima keep getting finer & yall gon keep getting mad💋🤎"
Angel Reese's followers took to the comments to react to her post. Some of the commenters include former NBA legend Carmelo Anthony's ex-wife La La Anthony and McKenzie Caldwell-Pope, two-time NBA champion Kentavious Caldwell-Pope's partner.
"😍😍😍😍," La La Anthony commented.
McKenzie, whose husband has a career NBA earnings of $126,005,255 in 12 years in the NBA, praised the Sky star for continuing to be herself, writing:
"Yesssss sis! 😍😍😍"
Apart from being fearless in expressing herself through her fashion, Angel Reese was also the same on the court during her rookie season in the WNBA. She was a steady double-double machine, averaging 13.6 points and 13.1 rebounds in 34 games, earning an All-Star nod and finishing second in the Rookie of the Year voting.
Angel Reese says contrary to misconception, she is working on her game in the offseason
Angel Reese was criticized recently for her seeming "fixation" on posting non-basketball content on social media, presuming that she was not working on her game like her peers during the WNBA offseason.
The Chicago Sky star responded to the comments in last week's episode of her "Unapologetically Angel" podcast. While talking to her manager Jeanine Ogbonnaya, she clapped back at those who were saying she was not working on her game.
"People say, 'Angel, how come you don't post basketball stuff?," Reese said (via Sports Illustrated). "How come I have to post in the gym? What about all the other 143 women in the WNBA that don't post in the gym?"
Apart from the 2025 season of the WNBA, Reese is also gearing up for her campaign in the newly formed 3-on-3 Unrivaled Basketball League, which tips off its inaugural season on Jan. 17. She is one of 36 WNBA players set to see action in the league co-founded by fellow league stars Breanna Stewart and Napheesa Collier.
