Kiyan Anthony, son of 10-time NBA All-Star Carmelo Anthony and La La Anthony was Angel Reese's latest guest on her podcast. On Thursday's episode of "Unapologetically Angel," the two had a heart-to-heart conversation about several topics, including Kiyan's tattoo dedicated to his mother.

The Chicago Sky forward asked Kiyan to share what the tattoo said as well as what inspired him to get it. This particular part of the episode was shared by La La Anthony herself on her Instagram Stories.

She encouraged her followers to check out the episode while also sharing a short message for Reese and Kiyan.

"Love this two @angelreese5 & @kiyananthony," La La Anthony said.

Angel Reese seems to have a special connection to Kiyan Anthony and his family. When Reese was drafted, Carmelo Anthony shared a special message for the WNBA rookie.

Melo started by congratulating her on a successful college career. Afterward, the former NBA superstar encouraged her to keep on doing the things that have helped her be successful.

Reese responded by telling Melo how much she appreciated him for his support.

Angel Reese asked Kiyan Anthony to share his favorite WNBA players

The conversation between Angel Reese and Kiyan Anthony eventually became about basketball. While talking about the sport, Reese asked Kiyan if he watched the WNBA.

Kiyan admitted that he started watching it last year. Reese asked him who his favorite players were. According to him, his favorite players were Sabrina Ionescu, Diana Taurasi and Reese. (28:24-28:44)

Ionescu has been an All-Star and a member of the All-WNBA second team every year since 2022. She also helped the New York Liberty to their first championship in franchise history this past season.

As for Taurasi, she has had a legendary career spanning two decades, all with the Phoenix Mercury. Throughout her career, she has been named league MVP once (2009), has made 11 All-Star teams and has been in the All-WNBA first team 10 times. She's also helped the Fever to three championships (2007. 2009, 2014) and was named Finals MVP twice ('09 & '14).

Throughout her legendary career, Taurasi averaged 18.8 points, 3.9 rebounds and 4.2 assists.

Lastly, there's Angel Reese who had one of the best rookie seasons in WNBA history. In her first year in the league, Reese led the league in rebounds per game with 13.1. She also had the most offensive rebounds in 2024 with 172.

Additionally, Reese also made history by logging a double-double in 15 straight contests in her first year as a pro.
