The Connecticut Sun will face off against the Indiana Fever on Sunday, aiming for the first win in their best-of-three series against Caitlin Clark and company. Despite being one of the best teams in the WNBA, the Sun dealt with an unusual issue. They had to practice on a half court to share space with a community center event, as reported by Emily Adams of Hartford Courant on X (formerly Twitter).

"Just WNBA things! 24 hours before their first playoff game, the Connecticut Sun are finishing practice on a half court to share space with a community center event."

Several fans disapproved of this, with some even saying that Caitlin Clark doesn't have to deal with this type of stuff in Indiana.

"CC is lucky she doesn’t have to deal with stuff like this. There are still plenty of teams that have to deal with these issues because, for whatever reason, they don’t have proper practice facilities," one fan said.
"CC would never," another fan said.

One fan claimed Clark would be the one to change this for every WNBA team.

More fans criticized the league for allowing this to happen while somebody said the teams with decent facilities would land free agents until everybody is at the same level.

"So wild that this is the reality of one of the best teams in the WNBA," one fan said.
"UCONN men's and women's bball teams have better facilities than the Sun," another fan said.

The Connecticut Sun finished third in the 2024 WNBA regular season (28-12), emulating what they did in 2023 (27-13), confirming that they are a pretty competitive squad. Sadly, multiple WNBA teams have to deal with stuff like this season after season. Some fans even suggested they negotiate to move to Boston and use the TD Garden as their arena.

How did the Connecticut Sun fare against the Indiana Fever this season?

Connecticut Sun and Indiana Fever have clashed four times in the 2024 regular season, with the Sun dominating Caitlin Clark and company in the first three matchups, 92-71, 88-84 and 89-72.

The Fever bounced back in the fourth duel with an 84-80 win where Clark looked more comfortable. This can be one of the most entertaining series in the first round and despite this unfortunate moment for the Sun, they must be ready to compete and advance to the next round.
