Chennedy Carter is showcasing her talents in China following an impressive 2024 WNBA season. The veteran guard is representing Wuhan Shengfan, taking her game to new heights.
Carter is also making sure that she's getting the best treatment after playing at an intense level and is sharing her process with fans. On Friday, she showed fans some details about her self-care routine.
First, she posted a video in what appeared to be a massage room.
"after these matches it's necessary," she captioned the post.
Then, she posted another video putting her feet in water.
The Chicago Sky guard's WNBA future is up in the air at this moment, but she's making the most of her second consecutive season playing overseas in the offseason.
She is coming off her best season in the WNBA and was a candidate to win the WNBA Most Improved Player of the Year award. She went from signing a training camp deal to becoming the scoring leader of the Sky in a tumultuous season that ended with Teresa Weatherspoon's release.
Chennedy Carter is having an impressive season in China
Chennedy Carter was recovering after Wuhan Shengfan defeated Hefei Culture on Thursday for Round 9 of the WCBA 2024-25 season. They boast a 6-3 record after nine games and rank fourth in Group B behind Heilongjiang (7-2), Henan Phoenix (5-2) and Shaanxi (5-2).
In the first seven games of the season, Carter averaged 29.7 points, 7.7 rebounds, 6.7 assists and 2.3 steals per game while shooting a whooping 59.1% from the field and 73.7% from the free-throw line.
Up until Dec. 1, she had scored 35, 42, 42, 24 and 27 points in the last five games. Wuhan hasn't won all those games, but Carter is surely making an impact on her squad.
She will return to the court on Sunday against Hefei again, before taking on Fujian Bailu in a two-game series. The rest of the regular season will be played until Feb. 18, with Carter's team hoping to make it to the playoff and then make a deep run in the postseason.
Meanwhile, the speculation about Chennedy Carter's future hasn't stopped, but time will tell how that saga ends.
