Chicago Sky guard Chennedy Carter is turning 28 today, and her brother Chandler took to Instagram to celebrate the big day. Chandler shared an old post of him with his sister at Manhattan Beach with a heartfelt birthday message.
"Happy Birthday Sissy❤️," he captioned this post.
Then, he shared a picture of a shootout competition with Chennedy Carter.
Carter was one of the biggest stories of the 2024 WNBA season. After signing a training camp deal, she went on to earn a starting spot and became the most reliable scorer on the Chicago Sky roster. Carter proved herself in a complex environment, as the Sky were far from perfect this season.
She was considered a candidate for Most Improved Player of the Year thanks to her impressive performances, and now could be in line for a big contract. Carter averaged 17.5 points, 3.5 rebounds, 3.1 assists and 1.1 steals per game, shooting 48.7% from the field and 73.0% from the free-throw line.
While the Sky lost their playoff spot in the final week of the regular season, but if it wasn't for Chennedy Carter and Angel Reese, Chicago would have been out of the playoff picture way earlier.
