WNBA fans were quick to recruit Chicago Sky forward Angel Reese to the New York Liberty after the rookie forward expressed her love for the city on X (formerly Twitter). Immediately after her tweet, fans started to pitch the Liberty to the forward.

"I think i love new york 😫😭," Reese posted.

The Liberty supporters did not miss an opportunity and began recruiting the WNBA star right away.

"Come to the liberty when Sabrina and Bre Stewart go to Valk," one fan shared, hinting at a possibility of the Liberty stars' departure.
"Pull up to Queens to be treated like a Queen wtw 👀," another fan took the chance to flatter the star forward.
"Sab and Stew could shoot at will with a board hunter like Angel 👀," this fan shared the idea of Reese playing with the current stars.

Other fans were quick to defend the city of Chicago.

"Chicago better tho," this fan said.
"Chicago clears that rat infested city," another fan was quick to defend Chicago.
"Don't leave the sky please," a fan even begged Reese not to leave the Sky.

It won't be for a while until Reese can control her destination and potentially leave Chicago. She's under a four-year, $324,383 rookie deal with the Sky. Her contract has a team option in 2027.

Fans speculate that Angel Reese is recruiting this offseason

Fans were quick to think about Angel Reese's advances toward Allisha Gray on social media. The Atlanta Dream forward posted a series of photos on Instagram and put a caption, "And that’s a wrap! Until next time." This was Gray's summary of what happened to her in the 2024 WNBA season.

Surprisingly, Reese left a comment on the post. In the comments section, fans saw the Sky forward say, "let’s be teammates for unrivaled?? thanks. ~management 😇." Take a look at the star's comment on Gray's post.

Reese was referring to the Unrivaled League, which she joined and is expected to play in January. Like the rookie forward, Gray also announced her participation in the women's league. However, it's still unsure which players will be teammates in the league.

The league has announced 26 out of the 30 maximum players who will participate in the inaugural season.
