"Could have hit Trump from half-court": Comedian dons Caitlin Clark shirt, openly mocks Angel Reese with monologue

Comedian Matt Rife donned a Caitlin Clark jersey and mocked her WNBA counterpart, Angel Reese, in one of his comedy segments. Labeling the Indiana Fever rookie as one of the greatest shooters of all time, Rife dished out quite the comment.

In a clip doing the rounds on social media, Rife was seen and heard saying:

"She could have hit Trump from half-court. This is amazing dude, she's incredible. Have you guys been to her game? Have you checked her play live? Bro, watching Caitlin play is like watching the longest yard. The longest yard is also what they call the distance between Angel Reese's eyeballs."

Rife's take had the Indianapolis audience in splits. In reality, though, Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese exceeded expectations in their rookie year with the former winning ROTY as she guided the Fever to the playoffs.

Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese have been scintillating in their rookie seasons

Despite Rife's roast, those who followed Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese will know that both rookies did exceedingly well in their NBA debuts. Reese and the Chicago Sky may not have made the playoffs, but she set the record for most rebounds in a single season. She also became the first player in WNBA history with three consecutive 20-plus rebound games and most consecutive double-doubles.

Clark set the league record for assists per game, leader in three-pointers, and also set the record for most assists in a season and a game. She also became the first rookie in WNBA history to record a triple-double twice in the season, among other massive landmarks.

Both players will also be playing under new head coaches in the upcoming season. The Fever has appointed Stephanie White to replace Christie Sides, while Chicago fired Teresa Weatherspoon. They roped in Tyler Marsh with the hope that he could build a successful campaign with the Sky outfit around Reese and fellow rookie Kamilla Cardoso.

Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese' successful rookie seasons also saw a surge in the WNBA's popularity. It's interesting to see how both teams fare in the upcoming seasons.
